Executive and Artistic Director
Miriam Lea founded Go Tango and continues to guide its artistic direction. As a cultural ambassador and internationally trained dancer, she brings the depth and beauty of Argentine Tango to new audiences. She began this work as a local initiative and expanded it into a movement rooted in performance, education, and cultural preservation.
Miriam draws from decades of experience performing, coaching, and producing in Argentina and the United States. She creates original choreography, develops ensemble works, and leads community-centered programs. Through these efforts, she strengthens people’s understanding of Tango’s social roots, historical story, and ongoing evolution.
CID and the Minnesota State Arts Board recognize Miriam’s leadership and Go Tango’s dedication to artistic integrity, cultural stewardship, and community impact. Her work helps Tango grow across generations and communities.
Operations Director
Megan Tate serves as Go Tango’s Operations Director. Her global perspective comes from a lifelong dedication to movement, music, and creative expression. Trained in equestrian arts at a young age and later educated in studio art, Megan draws inspiration from nature, museums, and the cultures she explores around the world.
In her professional work, Megan has led complex programs in many industries. She is known for her clarity, strategic thinking, and ability to build systems that strengthen teams and organizations. Now deeply engaged in Argentine Tango, she brings the same curiosity and discipline to the dance floor that she brings to her operational work.
At Go Tango, Megan’s leadership supports operational excellence, strong planning, and smooth program delivery.
